The Challenge

Magento Upgrade
The Eclipse Blinds website required an upgrade from an older Magento version to maintain PCI compliance and site security. Thanks to the extensive Magento upgrade knowledge of our team, we were able to execute a phased approach from assessment to deployment which culminated in a successful upgrade to the latest Magento version, enhancing platform security and performance with minimal downtime and disruption to the ecommerce website.
Refined Cut Length Charge Logic
We identified and resolved a crucial issue concerning the calculation of cut length charges. Our bespoke solution differentiates between fabrics sold in specific increments and those available in full rolls, ensuring accurate charges are applied. The product attribute settings were updated to correctly categorise fabrics for price calculation in the checkout process, and the API endpoints were updated to reflect the new pricing logic when orders are parsed to the ERP system.

Streamlined Freight Charge Process
We addressed inconsistencies in the application of freight charges on pro forma orders by implementing a flat £10 freight charge across all such orders, ensuring clarity and consistency. Additionally, we refined the payment process for pro forma group customers, directing them towards online payment methods to streamline operations and enhance financial processing efficiency.
Accurate Pricing for Multiple Cut Lengths
We resolved discrepancies in pricing when customers ordered multiple cut lengths of the same fabric. Our solution now accurately generates individual cut charges for each order of the same fabric, ensuring pricing reflects the actual cost and logistics involved in fulfilling these specific cuts through the standard and reorder checkout.
